Jeff Ellsworth
Born in O’Leary, Prince Edward Island, Canada, Jeff Ellsworth is a professional ball player with an outstanding list of accomplishments to his name. As his profile on the Team Canada website notes:
Jeff Ellsworth is one of the longest serving members of the Men’s National Team, first appearing for Team Canada in 2004. He has since played in two ISF World Championships, highlighted by a bronze medal in 2009, as well as three Pan American Championships, winning silver in 2006, gold in 2012 and bronze in 2014. Ellsworth has played for Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as Ontario at the Canadian Championships where he is a six-time all-star outfielder (2004-06, 2010, 2012, 2014) and was twice named Top Batter in 2008 and 2014.
In addition to the accomplishments noted on the Team Canada page, Jeff has served as Head Coach of the Team Canada Junior Men’s Softball Team, Hitting Coach of the Spanish Women’s National Team, and 2016 Assistant Coach of the USSSA Pride Women’s Pro League.
Jeff currently resides in Alberton, Prince Edward Island.
“After coming back from an international event in Mexico back in 2008, our coach told us to work hard in the offseason on generating more bat speed. Back at home, I began to think about what I would use as a training device, when a dishcloth hanging over the counter gave me an idea. I got a towel from the bathroom, and tested it out. Instantly, I found a huge difference, and that’s where the idea came about for Mach 1-2-3, and the idea to cater to athletes of all ages, allowing them to graduate to the next level as they progress.
